Bowness-on-Windermere is one of the most popular locations in the Lake District. Situated midway down Lake Windermere, a long promenade skirts the lake with views over a busy harbour where pleasure cruisers arrive and depart taking visitors up and down the lake.
The town has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere, especially in the summer months and a breathtaking lakeside setting with picturesque views across and down the lake. A car ferry runs to the far side of the lake taking visitors to Sawrey and Hawkshead or you can take a trip on one of the steamers north to Ambleside or south to Lakeside.
There is plenty to see and do including the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and Steamboat Museum, as well as a variety of stunning walking routes. Bowness provides a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as a wide range of shops, all within easy reach.
This apartment is one of a group in a development known as Quarry Rigg. It is ideal for those looking for a central location within walking distance of a variety of shops and a good choice of restaurants close at hand. There is a regular bus service and the railway station is situated close by for holidaymakers preferring to use public transport. This apartment has private parking for one car and is less than a minutes walk from the village centre. Sorry - we don't allow pets or smoking in our apartment.
